This always makes me cry

Hearing about little caylee anthony.
Caylee Anthony Public Memorial Plans.

Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Here is the news article from ksl.com

"SAN ANTONIO (AP/KSL News) -- Texas child welfare authorities conclude in a new report that nearly two-thirds of the families living at a polygamist group's ranch had children who were abused or neglected.

The Department of Family and Protective Services released the report to The Associated Press on Tuesday, saying 12 girls, ages 12 to 15, are believed to have been abused. Another 274 children were listed as neglected because the agency says the parents knew there was abuse in the community but did not move their children away.

Child welfare authorities conducted investigations into all the families of the 439 children taken from the ranch run by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in April. All were placed under court jurisdiction until Texas Child Protective Services could determine if they were in danger of abuse.

Last week, just over a dozen FLDS children remained under court jurisdiction. The Deseret News reported that all but 19 children had been "non-suited," meaning their cases are no longer being investigated."

OK here i go....

Bottom line, the Minor children in this "Religion" should be removed from the parents custody. I don't care if the parents are "very upstanding people". Has anyone heard of statutory rape?

Laws are being broken, children are being damaged.

I understand this is their way of life, but If I can't go out and find 10 husbands, why can they? Not that I would want to deal with 10, one is hard enough. =)

I know Warren Jeffs is in custody, I know children were taken away, but isn't there more that the law can do to help these kids, and maybe women that want out?

Topic #2 "Seclusion rooms" in schools

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/12/17/seclusion.rooms/index.html

I was watching the news with Hubs and there was a story about a 13 yr old who hung himself in a "Seclusion room" at school.
From what I was able to get out of the news story, this boy did go to a school that specialized with "troubled youth". There were multiple times, i believe the news reporter said 15, that this boy was in this room, multiple times he displayed actions that would make anyone think he was not healthy, IE. ripped the hem off his shirt and tied it around his neck, threatened suicide, and a few other instances. The day the boy committed suicide, he was put in there for whatever reason, My guess acting out, and the teacher happened to also give him a Rope to tie around his pants to hold them up, and left him in this "Seclusion room".
Johnathan King Proceeded to feed the rope through a metal grate on the window, and hang himself. A VERY unfortunate/sad situation.

My thoughts are on the school side:
As stated in the article, teachers are not trained to deal with violent, out of control youth. To maintain a safe place for the other students and teachers, I think a time out room is ok. I am sure the school did what they thought was best at the time. For a child to continually act out as Johnathan did/was, I would have saught out more resources to try and help this little boy with his problems, what ever they may have been. If Johnathan had been this problematic, and reportedly been in this seclusion room 15 times, where were the parents to intervene. They claim they had no idea he had been in that room, that many times....As a parent, I find that hard to believe, to not know what is going on with your child at school. Had this been the case, as a school official, it would be my job to contact 3rd parties to help resolve the constant issues.

My thoughts on the parents side:
This is a horrible thing that happened to the King family. To any family that has gone through this same thing. As a parent, When I send my daughter to Kindergarten, I put her safety in the hands of her teacher, and the staff that are there or working with Sam. Had my child been as problematic as this little boy, I would want the school or teacher to notify me so I can seek help for whatever issue my child may have. Wether it be putting them in a treatment facility, Counseling, or what the doctor may advise. If the parents of Johnathan truly had no clue that Johnathan was put in time-out more than a dozen times, than I blame the school for that fully. It is the schools responsibility along with the parents responsibility to KNOW and to discuss issues that may occur, wether it be on a daily basis, or whenever issues happen.
My heart truly does go out to the King family, nothing that anyone can say or do, can bring their child back, or to heal the pain.

Topic #1

I originally posted this on my other blog, but it is about the Caylee/Casey Anthony Saga.

How in the world, anyone could intentionally hurt a 3 yr old child?
I have been hooked to the whole Casey/Caylee Anthony saga, since it first broke this summer. Casey Anthony is one sad, sick individual. There are times, i could "sell my kids to the gypsies" (joking of course, all you parents know what I mean) but in the end, GOD FORBID they were taken from me, I would not know what to do. My life revolves around them.
There are times when the girls fight, bicker, tattle, ignore me, I get SO frustrated but I think about it....What the hell is my problem, they are kids. Kids are the best headaches sometimes. (i mean that in a nice joking manner). I would do anything for my kids. I would like....no LOVE to sit down with Casey Anthony and ask her, WHAT IN THE HELL DID CAYLEE DO WRONG? IF YOU DIDN'T WANT HER, WHY DID YOU NOT GIVE HER TO YOUR PARENTS, THEY SEEMED MORE THAN WILLING TO BE IN HER LIFE. but YOU, Casey, YOU were the selfish one, YOU were a "picture mom". You didn't want to be a mother, or you would not have done the worst thing you could to that little angel. There are people out there that would have given the world to adopt Caylee if she was that big of a "snot face" as you claim she was. Why was getting porked and getting drunk, high, whatever you were doing, more damn important than being a mother. Yes I drink, I love to drink, BUT MY KIDS COME BEFORE ANYTHING. If i cant find a sitter, who cares. I love my time away from my kids as most parents do, but in the end, I miss them, even if I am gone for an hour. YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH SENDING ONE OF GODS ANGELS home WAY before her time. For that, I hope you are happy now, You don't have a child anymore, you don't have anyone tying you down. I don't think you deserve the death penalty, i think you deserve to rot in prison, and think of that little girl, that INNOCENT LITTLE ANGEL, that you killed. And I hope it kills you. Not literally kills you, that would be to easy, but the regret eats at your soul, till there is nothing left.

Rest in Peace Caylee, the world loves you! Go with the angels baby girl.

Well.....

I decided to make another blog, one that is my P.O.V of the News. Different News Stories Nationally, Worldwide, even locally. I thought this may be a better Idea than putting it on my family blog. :) With the different stories I blog about, I would love comments, and other peoples POV's on the topics.
Here we go.
